Tom & Joy Nunamacher followed their dreams and purchased the Kenai Magic lodge, then changed its name to Joy’s Kenai River Cabins in 2022.
Tom was born in Puyallup, Washington but spent most of his childhood in Alaska, going to elementary schools on Fort Richardson and going to Bartlett High in Anchorage; after Highschool Tom joined the Navy, and after returning met and married Joy, together raising three children.

Tom has spent the past 30 years working and advancing to Vice President of a commercial refrigeration HVAC wholesaler in the Northwest; Joy has spent the past 20 years working as an executive for a major retailer.
For the past 30 years, we have spent almost every summer here on the Kenai peninsula with our family and friends.
